Ceros´s function and aims

The principal goal of our company is to provide MS patients with prompt, complex, everlasting and highly professional care, further on to moderate ilness symptoms and progress and therefore to get better patient´s quality life and simultaneously his/her family.

• To improve patients´s knowledgeability.
• To learn them to understand their illness.
• To teach those who live with the patients also apprehend illness and possibilities how they could help their close relative.
• To teach patients to influence single symptoms of illness.
• To learn them how to work with own body, psyche and mind which is often affected by MS.
• To teach patients to distinquish situations in which is necessary to find professional consultation and build active attitude to their treatment.
• To teach patients to cope with the illness and manage to live „normal“ life.
• To inform them about possibilities and rights of the czech social system.
• To guarantee MS patients specific treatment.
• To arrange harmonize care by all necessary experts.
• To provide prompt therapeutic intervention.
• To enable MS patients to reintegrate into society.
• To ensure ethical conditions.
• To provide their privacy during examinations and medical procedures.
• To alow enough time for single problems solutions.
• To secure that arranging of administrative and managerial activities are done only by properly qualified peoples.

While primary Ceros´s aims are oriented to multiple sclerosis patients, secondary ones then to all society. In total criterion progress improving, illness impact and quality life improving of MS patients could decrease as economic cost as social welfare. Society´s enlightenment and active participation to some of projects organized by Ceros company may improve thinking of all people and change their mindsets to in varied ways handicapped persons in general.

Concept elaboration how to approach to MS patients

Multidisciplinary specialists team on international level which is under control of experts from society Rehabilitation in Multiple Sclerosis (generally beneficial company Ceros actively co-operates with it) works on elaboration of theoretical hypothesis and European norms in MS patients rehabilitation and consecutively also on their experimental checking and presentation.

Ceros company is creating experts rehabilitation team whose primary goal should be in narrow concept elaboration of rehabilitation care and in training another specialists who could provide prompt, everlasting, complex and highly specialized care at selected centres around all Czech republic.

We are organizing many seminars designed just for physiotherapists. Some of them are clasify into postgraduate education system in health service. Also there has been based the group that turns its attention to physiotherapy problems. We are still looking for more applicants who are interested in participating of concept elaboration and its expansion into practice in another rehabilitation fields.

Activities heading towards building „centre“ – hierarchize system of sites that would be able to provide prompt, everlasting, specific and complex care in the whole state.

Project documentation work

In 2004 year there have been started preparations to realize the project „ Ambulatory and bed rehabilitation institution specialized to neurological illness, firstly to multiple sclerosis“. Nowadays the building architectural study is compiled, building locality actions began and the possibillities about project financing are simultaneously probing.

„Multiple sclerosis on net“ project

The primary aim of this project is to create experts network that would be able to provide the most quality service in harmony with Ceros ´s concept to the most clients in all country.

For the present the several sites in Prague (for example neurological and remedial clinics, Urological clinic - 1. Medical faculty of Charles University, and more...) actively integrated this project. They offer remedial service (physiotherapy, ergotherapy, cognitive and urological rehabilitation, speech therapy, psychotherapy, dance and music therapy, arttherapy, social and law consultantship, hippotherapy).

Since September 2003 we also have offered ambulatory programs which are unfortunately more accessible to Prague and neighbourhood clients. But outside Prague MS centres and sectional branches of Roska union (czech MS society) are starting to integrate to our project, too. So we believe the service will be accessible to the clients who are out of the city soon.

Seminars

We organized several seminars dedicated to neurorehabilitation problems for MS patients, close relatives and laic public. We also arranged rephysical condition activities seminar that simultaneously opened co-operation with Rephysical centre (Salmovská street 5, Prague). MS patients can attend it under advantaged conditions after passing specialist examination and showing the Ceros´s identification card.

Activities oriented to multiple sclerosis problems popularization and to good MS patients feelings.

Exhibition of works of people suffering from multiple sclerosis called „ Road to rainbow“

In 2001 we have started organizing regural exhibitions of works created by MS patients in popish socially pastoral centre Communio. In 2003 the exhibition was held in exhibition hall Atrium in Žižkov. In November 2004 we organized the exhibition in co-operation with Roska Union (czech MS society) under support of Serono company. There were exposed about 60 works made by 20 MS patients in space of Živnostenská bank, Příkopy, Prague. At the same we published the booklet which contained authors stories together with the photographies of exhibited works. The fund raising campaign (called also „Road to rainbow“) happened in the streets of Prague. Children sold prints of one author to people during it. Its profit is dedicated to Ceros´s principal vision realization.

 Urological complaints associated with multiple sclerosis – embarrasment influence and society´s attitude

The project´s aim is to introduce laic public the MS patients problems that may cause urological complaints.

In 2004 Contemporary fine arts foundation supported project in its scope authors MgA. Iveta Pilařová and MA Eva Brzáková created pattern prototype of trousers for women that allow to evacuate also in socially unacceptable places at urgent cases. The trousers were showed at exhibitions called „Road to rainbow“ and „My inside world“. Ceros company initiated photostory formation concerning its use and presented it at „We help not only 30 days“ exhibition. We have planned several urological theme seminars, fashionable show, video recording that will include utterance of MS client´s suffering from urological complaints. We also propose to create the map with the places where is possible to enter toilets.

We organize seminars at which is possibility to unreservedly consult these problems with expert, too.

Dance performance

Dance troupe called Small flower with leading performers Iveta Pilařová and professional dancer buto Ken Maie will present their production in comunication place in Školská street 28, Prague, in March 2005. We also plan to organize a show of motoric dance therapy for MS patients. This therapy are attended by applicants under the project Multiple sclerosis on net.

Auctions

The thought about organization auction whose profit would support the Ceros´s project was born thanks to the artists who decided to assist Ceros ś ideas and devoted some of their works for its realization. In the first place we thank Mrs. Radce Ježkové for arranging this event and artists for their works as well. Term of auction is during April in Žofín exhibition hall, Prague.

„Multiple sclerosis in Bohemia“ exhibition

This exhibition will be unique by attempting to introduce multiple sclerosis to public in ease and absorbing way. The MS patients ´s works will accompanied it. Roska union – czech MS society - is its chief organizator while Ceros company prepares professional groundwork.
